Planning the trade also means knowing how you will react to it when the market moves

A study in Europe demonstrated just how much individual investors underperform the market and they were able to separate those who use options from those who don't. The results will astound you. There are a number of statistically sound option strategies that beg us to screw them up in real trading. Knowing how and why we screw up is as important as picking the right strategy.

 

About Our Speaker

Richard Lehman teaches behavioral finance and options courses at UC Berkeley Extension and at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He is also the founder of BehavioralFinance.com. His prior financial career spans more than thirty years beginning with an eleven-year stint on Wall Street with EF Hutton and the New York Stock Exchange. During that time, Richard was named Top Broker in the US Trading Championships - Option Division in the 1980s and advised on the launch of two closed end mutual funds specializing in covered call writing. He is the author of three finance books and holds a BS in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy New York as well as an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany.
